FLIPPERS PROTECT THE NEAR GOAL
To finish ahead after 90 seconds, Football Pinball requires goals at the far net while protecting the near end of the pitch. The football action uses a pinball layout viewed from the team's own end zone. Two flippers sit in front of the near goal, creating the main defensive line between the ball and a score for the opposing side.
The far net is protected by three opposing midfielders and an active goalkeeper. A successful attack sends the ball past all of these defenders to score. The same ball can become a defensive problem when it returns toward the flippers, so each movement has to account for both ends of the pitch.
How a 90 Second Match Works
Each game lasts 90 seconds. The side with the most goals at the end of that period wins, while equal scores result in a draw. This gives every ball movement a role within a short match window, from a defensive flipper action to an attempt on the far net.
If the ball passes beyond the two flippers, it counts as a goal for the other side. The flippers therefore have two connected jobs: keep the ball from draining at the near end and send it back toward the opposing midfielders and goalkeeper. Football Pinball builds its scoring rule around this exchange between protection and attack.
USE BOTH FLIPPERS TOGETHER
Press A or Z for the left flipper. Press D or the Right Arrow key for the right flipper. Press Space to activate both flippers at once. These inputs control the two barriers in front of the near goal and determine how the ball is returned from that end of the pitch.
For touch input, tap the left half of the screen for the left flipper and the right half for the right flipper. The match ends after its fixed 90 second length, so the final score decides the result without additional rounds described in the game information. Protect the near goal and send the ball through the far defense in Football Pinball.
