Sweeper Curling

Step into the frosty and dramatic world of Sweeper Curling. This is a simulation game of Curling, also known as "Chess on Ice." Your mission is to get the granite stones to stop as close to the center of the target circle as possible. This circle is called the house, and its exact center is called the button. At the same time, you must cleverly push your opponent's stones out of the scoring area. Each successful turn will bring valuable points. The team with the stone closest to the center after all throws are finished wins. Play now!

ULTIMATE GAMEPLAY GUIDE

To start a throw in Sweeper Curling, players need to go through three important stages. First is the aiming stage. Players will adjust the directional arrow to line up with their desired target. Note that even a tiny mistake at the starting line can cause the stone to go off track.

After picking the perfect direction, players need to adjust the throwing power. A power bar will appear on the screen, constantly changing between strong and weak. The player must release the mouse button exactly when the power bar reaches their calculated level. If released too early, the stone won't have enough momentum to pass the required line. On the other hand, if the force is too strong, the stone will slide right past the target circle.

The final and most iconic stage of the game is sweeping the ice. As soon as the stone slides on the ice, players need to sweep continuously in front of its path by rapidly left-clicking. This action subtly warms up the ice surface, reducing friction and helping the stone slide further. This is when your hands need to work at full capacity to help the stone reach its ideal position.

International curling rules

Players will feel a clear change in the stone's speed depending on how fast they click. This requires sharp observation to know when to sweep hard to make the stone go further.

How to play

Use the mouse to set the direction to push the stone. Click when the power bar is high. Click continuously to guide the stone to the target point.

The art of setup

First, never try to throw all your stones into the center right from the start. Sometimes, you can place a stone in front of the target circle. It will act as a guard to block the opponent from attacking your scoring stones.

Using the collision technique

If your opponent has a stone sitting right on the center button, you can use a stronger throw to hit that stone directly. You can knock it out and replace it with your own stone right on the sweet spot. However, be careful because if the force is too strong, both stones might fly out.

Selective sweeping

Players don't necessarily have to sweep the ice during the stone's entire journey. If you notice the stone already has enough momentum and is heading straight for the target, just stop. Only use your sweeping power when you feel the stone is showing signs of stopping too early.
