OFFSIDE! the through-ball game puts players in a fascinating setting of modern football. As a midfielder, your mission is to deliver passes for the striker to run onto and finish. Your opponents are a highly intelligent defense. They constantly move up to set offside traps and are ready to press fiercely to steal the ball from your feet. However, you must still score as many goals as possible. To do this, you must consistently execute successful through balls into the path of your teammate. A single wrong decision, such as passing too early and getting intercepted. Passing too late and leaving the striker offside can end your game immediately. Specifically, the VAR technology will monitor every millimeter of your movement. Be careful in every shooting!
GAMEPLAY INTRODUCTION
A standard play in the game follows a strict sequence. First, you need to hold the ball in the midfield. The opposing defenders slowly push up to close the space. At this point, your striker will continuously move along the defensive line to find a gap. You must carefully observe the invisible boundary line between the last defender and your striker. As soon as the striker begins to sprint and is still just behind the last defender, click your mouse to pass the ball. If successful, your striker will score.
VAR (Video Assistant Referee) mechanism
A wide-angle camera will freeze the frame exactly at the moment you click to pass. Red lines and blue lines will slowly appear to determine the situation. You will have to wait for the VAR decision in the game. A feeling no different from real-life players waiting for a goal to be confirmed.
Offside trap system
The AI of the opposing defenders is designed to be very smart. They don't just stand still but actively move the moment you prepare to pass. The opponent's pressing speed will increase with the number of goals you score.
How to control the ball
Observe the positions of the striker and opposing defenders and find the right gap. Then click to pass the ball to the striker.
