Goalpost Shuffle
Goalpost Shuffle is a puzzle game mixed with football elements. Your intelligence and observation skills will be put to the test. Players will act as brilliant tacticians, guiding the flow of the balls on the field. This action makes sure they go the right way and reach the destination safely. However, this task is not as simple as it looks. You face two major challenges: time and collisions. Each level in the game gives a limited amount of time. So, you have to get the balls into the nets before the countdown timer hits zero. If you run out of time, the match ends and you have to start all over again.
The challenge that brings the drama is preventing the balls from colliding with each other. Multiple balls will appear on the field at the same time, each moving in a specific straight line. If players do not carefully plan the movement order. They can crash into each other along the way, leading to an instant failure. Create a perfect, smooth, and error-free moving order. Guide all the scattered balls into their corresponding goals.
FULL TUTORIAL
In this game, the balls and goals are arranged in symmetrical positions. The process of getting a ball into the net consists of two basic steps but requires high focus.
For the first step, players need to use the mouse cursor to click on the ball they want to move. The selected ball will have a slight glowing effect to show it is ready for commands. Instantly, it will start rolling in a straight line toward the opposite net. Note that you must scan the entire screen. This action is to see if any other ball is crossing the path of the one you just chose. Players need to pick a smart shooting order to get all the balls into the nets within the time limit.
Random arrangement
With each new play, the positions of the balls and goals will change. Therefore, you must constantly think and change your tactics instead of relying on mechanical memory. This is exactly what keeps Goalpost Shuffle engaging for a long time. So, you will want to come back and challenge yourself at harder levels with more complex layouts.
How to arrange
Observe the positions of the balls and nets; if they face each other, click on that ball. It will move straight into the goal and land cleanly in the net.
Priority rule
Instead of clicking on the very first ball you see, you should take about three seconds to view the whole field layout. Prioritize the balls with the shortest rolling paths or those not threatened by any obstacles. Settling the easy targets first will clear up the field space, making it easier to handle the balls in tougher positions.
Movement pace
Never activate too many balls at the same time if you are not sure about their trajectories. Players should take a short pause between clicks to ensure the previous ball has reached the net safely. Patience in this game is sometimes more important than quick speed.
Make the most of the first few seconds
Usually, the levels start at a slow pace. This is when you need to act fast to stack up time for complex situations at the end of the round. If you see two balls facing two goals, click quickly to send both into the nets at the same time.
Keep a calm mind
If you happen to fail a level, look back at why the balls crashed to learn from your mistake for the next try. Persistence and the ability to learn from mistakes are the keys to becoming a true champion in this game.
